Wendy Hough is a Canadian–born artist and designer whose practice spans a range from installations to more intimate drawings and sculptures. In her paintings and large scale drawings, the immediacy of mark-making accumulates to create an intentional space for meditation. In her works, the nature of marks and materials is left bare to to reveal the process of creation. In the space created by these works the viewer is challenged to find the edge between the form of the work and what is a reflection of their own perception. She has created temporary public installations and permanent works for private collections in the United States and Canada. She currently resides in California.
