Véronique Jansseune

Bruges, Belgium

"Geometric abstract painter"
As a child I was already fascinated by art and attended art academy for a few years . School and especially sports put sticks in the wheels. Artificial swimming requires a lot of time and energy. As a Belgian champion, I also participated in many international competitions (including European championships). Later during my higher studies, I paid extra attention to aesthetics and art history. I traveled a lot (especially in Asia) and later became professionally responsible for the art and culture trips at Escape in Bruges.
After a while I saw it and started my own children's boutique in Bruges (Sloebertje). Belgian and creative children's collections soon gained the upper hand.
I became the mother of four children and then gave them all the attention. With full conviction and lots of love, by the way, to give them a warm and cozy nest.
Still, the artificial microbe kept itching and I saw a new challenge. I started to paint , first with oil paint, but soon with acrylic. A dream of many years came true. Painting has since become an important part of my life. I've always been passionate about art and beauty. Now I have found an outlet that gives me a lot of energy.
