A painter traveling back and forth between Yokohama and Paris. The floral motifs that I have painted for a long time have become natural and feminine symbols for me. Having interacted with people of different nationalities and experienced other cultures, I have noticed that my country is far behind other developed countries in terms of gender bias. I believe it has meaning to continue to draw work that uses flower motifs in order to raise objections to this problem.Depending on the viewer, my work may be figurative or it may be abstract. I paint to ask questions of myself. My artistic expression, which hopes that some kind of impact is felt in the mind of the viewer, includes the identity with my own country, lessons learned from people of other nationalities and culture, and a vast life experience that is ingrained inside of me.
