Things I Imagined

"A love for geometry, color and composition"
Sini Salminen is a multidisciplinary designer with more than 20 years of experience with brand design, art direction and spatial design. Her practice has led to a wide variety of work in Denmark and the USA, and is endorsed by 22 design awards. Her art is fuelled by a deep passion for aesthetics and craftsmanship – working with acrylic paint, tangible forms, and digital design – always with a focus on colour and composition. She doesn’t view her work as perfect or final, but rather as a continual process of iterations and improvements, whether this is work produced on her own or in collaboration with others.

More About This Creator

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"I instinctively know if an idea is good or not so great. The good ideas I move on or sketch down immediately and medium good ideas are written down for later. The bad ideas I pretend I never had."

What is your favorite material to work with?

"I don't have a favourite maaterial - my favourite way to work is to change it up from acrylics on canvas to wooden sculptures, ceramics and black ink. Next up I'm hoping for a wall mural. You name it - I can do it ;)"
