Former interior designer/project estimator, Shay Nammari worked as a corporate employee at several design firms and alongside general contractors for about a decade before going off on her own and opening up THE GOOD TILE.
While she was still a full time employee (dreading every minute of each day at work), she was experimenting with tile making on the side and after work hours. Once she had perfected and streamlined the process of making patterned LVT, she then felt the need to quit her corporate job, and focus on her new found obsession of tile making, and dedicate her full time attention to The Good Tile.
When the time came to build a store, her vision for The Good Tile space was anything but traditional. She didn’t want to open just another tile store. She wanted to design and build a creative exhibit that housed and displayed bold, eccentric, whimsical art in the form of tiles and wallpaper. Her creative, humorous, quirky and sassy spirit is evident throughout the space and on social media, and is considered an essential component of the brand as a whole.
