At the largest design fair in the world, ‘Salone del Mobile’ in Milan, Joep Melis presented his Strackk shelf. Melis has developed a technically innovative support system, which combined with the materials and minimalist design, leads to an incredibly slim floating shelf with a huge
carrying capacity up to 250 kilograms. Technical cleverness, a ledge with a metal strip, makes the shelf magnetic. By use of magnetic hooks, e.g. cookware or clothing up to 2,5 kilograms, can be hanged. The ledge acts as anti-slip on which among other things a Flatscreen TV or painting can be perfectly displayed. Consumables as well as art and other curiosities are exhibited by Strackk in an unconventional beautiful way. And last but not least, the shelf and strips can be ordered in any size, color, design or imprint.
