The Santa Barbara Umbrella, introduced in 1981, took its design inspiration from the exotic umbrellas of the open-air markets of the Mediterranean. This silhouette, the genesis for future collections, has earned its reputation as the “original” Santa Barbara Umbrella and continues to inspire new classic designs.
Each collection is unique, yet all embody the upscale, refined Santa Barbara lifestyle, and echo the legacy of the original signature design. Every umbrella is one-of-a-kind, custom-crafted, hand-finished and individually registered by the hands of skilled craftsmen at the company’s new state-of-the-art production facility and Corporate Headquarters in Southern California. Housed at that same location is the first-ever Company Flagship Showroom, showcasing the company’s original collections and new designs.
