"My creative practice is led by curiosity, rooted in experimentation and enlivened by play."
Roberta Aylward practices art-making daily in her Pacific Northwest studio. Growing up in a family of creatives, she was introduced to art, craft and music at an early age. As a young woman she lived in the Southwest and decorated cakes at her family's bakery, painting desert landscapes and commissioned portraits in watercolor. Her current career as an abstract artist represents the culmination of a lifelong process devoted to the documentation of thought, emotion, sensation and memory.
