How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?
"Most often, my process involves a few initial drawings that I don't feel inspired by. However, there is usually one small element in one of these initial drawings that sparks my interest and as I start working with that direction, it always surprises me how quickly things come together."

What do you want people to do or feel when they encounter your creations?
"I want people to feel a connection to vulnerability; whether that's their own or witnessing someone else's. I think being in touch with this tender side of us is what helps to bridge the gap between differing points of view during conflict, whether personal or political."

What is your favorite material to work with?
"This past month, I've been pushing myself to draw at least one thing (if not many) every day. Along with that, I've been asking myself to work with different drawing implements to experiment with the way I make work. It's hard for me to choose an absolute favorite material to work with but lately I've been enjoying charcoal pencils. There's a distinct, rich quality about drawing with them and the tactile experience of using them on textured paper is incredibly satisfying."
