"Representing the richness and dynamism of indigenous art from Mexico to the walls of the world. My murals are made with acrylic paints and spray paint. I like to listen to the stories and traditions of the locations where I paint murals, as they enrich my vision."
Oscar Axo (b. 1983), has been raised within the indigenous Mixtec culture of his parents. He has studied Visual Arts at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the Autonomous University of Mexico. His work fuses different mural manifestations of Mexican art in a fantastic and dreamlike discourse, without forgetting its indigenous graphic heritage. His career in urban art dates back to 2010, when he made his first murals. His work has taken him to places as far away from Mexico as: Peru, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, to name a few countries.
