Hi, I am Emma O’Connor-Bray. Originally from Edinburgh in Scotland I have lived here in Ireland for over 12 years. I am an artist truly inspired by nature and emerging abstractions from it.
My coastal and landscape surroundings of the SW of Ireland and the stunning coastlines of the 'Wild Atlantic Way' are of particular interest to me and something I love to visit and see in person to feel fully inspired to paint..
My paintings are full of vibrancy, colour and light in thoughtful, playful and imaginative compositions... I combine illustrative and design elements learned from art college and apply them to give an unique and interesting contemporary style to my paintings.
I paint in both acrylics and oils and am particularly interested in exploring and experimenting various mixed media techniques on canvas and in sketchbooks.
I feel humbled to be able to portray the eternal beauty of my love of nature and surroundings and grateful to find such happiness in the process...
