Nicolae is a sculptor, all his life he devoted himself to the material: stone, granite, wood, metal, leather, etc.
Nicolae takes us to the discovery of his sculptures, some of which monumental are veritable crossroads where an essential approach is inscribed: trapping the flight of time, fixing memory, connecting past, present and future in a dynamic confrontation, between tensions and collusion.
Disc grinder or chisel in hand, Nicolae pierces the wood, breaks the stone, creates openings, opens windows, raises strange wind houses, punctuates his “little squares”, invests the material and, his sculpture - dazzling evolution of the form to which he confronts us - lives as much by emptiness as by matter.
Lifted, massive, architectural stones, open works, interior volume, balance, a passage from inside and outside.
Nicolae loves stone with sincerity and transfigures it with her passion.
