Cunjurong Point artist Natalia Kujbida creates minimalist abstract artworks inspired by the textures and patterns of the local landscape. She works in a range of expressive forms from sculpture to drawing, painting, and photography. Some of her work references traditional textiles and employs a unique form of spray painting using lace stencils.
Natalia has exhibited regularly with Artfest’s annual Sculpture exhibition “Ripe”, winning the indoor Tasting Room prize in 2012. She has also featured regularly in the Meroogal Women’s Art Prize traveling show. One of the recipients of an Artfest “Fast Forward” grant, she has developed her work exploring the medium of glass .
Natalia has been involved in developing opportunities for artists to exhibit their work in the local community, initiating, with the support of Shoalhaven Arts Board, the Manyana Arts and Crafts Market which is held twice a year in the Manyana Yulunga Hall to showcase local talent. Shoalhaven Arts Board has also supported the “Dogs of Cunjurong” project which is now a regular feature of the market.
