I grew up watching and admiring my dad, a talented illustrator and painter. Being daddy's little girl I of course attempted to mimic him. Realizing quickly that my talent didn't lie in that area and after many creative twists and turns, my search led me to an Aha! moment behind the lens of a camera. Well several actually, including a diehard Polaroid instamatic. Now many decades later my Nikon is my workhorse, although I still shoot with film using a variety of vintage cameras. Just as a painter uses a brush to create, I use my camera. The years have taught me patience and the skill of observation, necessary tools for any photographer. Combining those skills with my artistic vision is pure joy and I head out with one camera or another every day.
