Monaco Fibers was created as a way for me to share what I love with the world.
For as long as I can remember, I've gravitated towards all things handmade and unique. At the age of 10, I made a quilt for my great aunt. It was far from perfect, but it was my first attempt at it and made me feel great to be able to give her something that was meaningful and special. Most of the gifts I've given to the ones I love throughout my lifetime have been gifts made with my own hands and with the recipient in mind. They are made with care, intention, and love.
I grew up in a small town, but when I moved to Portland, the opportunities for me to learn new crafts expanded. There are so many talented makers and artists in this city, and I've enjoyed meeting, working with, and learning from so many. I'm constantly taking classes and exploring new ideas and skills. My shop will continue to change as my own life changes. Some items will be around for a while and some never make it past a season. It just depends, but I will never sell anything that I wouldn't want in my own home.
I am so excited to share these creations with others and hope to offer pieces that bring joy, beauty, or purpose.
