Miguel A. Del Real produces intricate line work with vibrant accents and original designs influenced by calligraphy and indigenous patterns. His signature style uses layers to show conceptual or abstract imagery, line precision, and unique color combinations. Shifting focus from the big picture to details gives meaning to his artwork and also reflects the interconnectedness of life and multiple layers to our existence. Public mural installation is a passion since it combines technical training and keen perspective to work with each location and create something special. Del Real has completed projects with the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the City of Santa Clarita California, Arts Gowanus and the New York Department of Transportation and in Oaxaca Mexico. Also, he has worked with youth and diverse communities as an art educator and has shown work in various solo and group exhibits.
