Californian-based visual artist, Melissa Arendt, creates colorful, fragmented paintings and murals. She has always felt compelled to force disparate visual elements (people, places and things) together within her clustered art, thus creating a new whole. Ultimately, her work serves as a fragmented record of life on Earth, presenting assorted elements that make it such a fascinating, complex, absurd and cherished place.
Melissa Arendt studied graphic design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She is a painter, illustrator, art director, and graphic designer, and is in a constant state of creation. Her work has been exhibited in San Francisco, Sacramento, New York City, Paris, Denver and Portland.
