Maurice Mentjens' work has been widely documented in various media all over the world and has won several national and international prizes amongst which three Dutch Design Awards and three German Design Awards.

Maurice Mentjens was trained as a product designer at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design and at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
He founded his studio in 1990 which focuses primarily on designing interiors, and related objects and furnishings. Maurice Mentjens uses a bespoke approach for each client. What he loves best is telling stories that refer back to a certain place or a specific use. These narratives often have a philosophical slant, imbued with meanings originating in the worlds of mythology, history, literature, or the visual arts to create inspiring places with a distinct visual identity.
