Marit Geraldine Bostad (1976) is an abstract colourist who works and lives in Horten Vestfold County, Norway. Her studio is at an old naval base, where she finds tranquility for her art, surrounded by the natural world and historic buildings.
Summer 2017 she had her debut in the New York art scene with a group show at Madelyn Jordon Fine Art and a solo show at Spotte Art. Summer 2018 she participated in "En Verano" in Los Angeles CA, in Saatchi Arts physical summer show. Marit Geraldine spent 5 weeks in New York at ESKFF / MANA Contemporary as an artist in resident at their Summer 2018 Program.
Marit Geraldine has gained attention from curators and galleries both in Europe and the US. At the April 2017 TOAF London edition, Chief Curator Rebecca Wilson from Saatchi Art pointed her "4 must-see artists" out of 120 emerging artists. Marit Geraldine was one of her highlights.
The artist is represented in UK / London by Mint Art Gallery, Daniel Raphael Gallery, The Whisper Gallery & Flat Space Art. In US / New York / California she is represented by Madelyn Jordon Fine Art, 107 Bowers Gallery and Spotte Art. In Norway, Marit Geraldine is represented by Galleri Fineart in Oslo and Vault Studio in Bergen. Autumn 2018 the artist also got representation with Singulart in Paris.
