Clay is a fascinating material to discover, as much to work on its plasticity and its flexibility as to contemplate, once cooked, its rigidity and firmness. I have always been strongly inspired by nature and its balance of opposites. It's a bit what I try to reproduce in my work by juxtaposing skill and simplicity, color and subtlety, stability and movement. I like to make them resistant and solid objects that we use everyday elegant and refined.
My work takes place through delicate and organic forms that I turn or shape. I use porcelain and compose with various textures. I apply attenuated, soft and moving colors, giving both strengths to the structure while recalling the fragility of the earth.
