Marie E. Saint-Cyr is an Artist, Educator, and Arts administrator. Her work explores how we interact within imagined space and evokes the charm and vibrancy of Caribbean pastorals alongside the urgency and layered energy of urban landscapes.
Marie migrated to the United States from Haiti at the age of eight and currently makes her art in Wheatley Heights, New York, while also working as an Arts Administrator.
Marie studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and at Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy.
Marie has also traveled throughout Europe studying and observing art internationally.
In 2019, Marie was awarded a one-year residency with the Haiti Cultural Exchange.
