Sustainability is important to Marcelle and her team. They often work with reclaimed woods, hand-tufted wool, and heirloom furniture paired with locally made, custom furniture, organic and sculptural in design. One of the sustainable homes designed by Marcelle and husband David Baird of Building Ideas won LEED-Platinum certification and is featured in the book Shades of Green, Tennessee.

This potpourri of creative minds brings to the table expertise in interior architecture and design, kitchens and baths, furniture selection and procurement, custom furniture design, and construction administration. By partnering with the architecture firm Building Ideas, LLC, Marcelle, and her team offer a full-service Architecture/Interior Design Firm capable of overseeing design and project management in mixed-use, residential, hospitality, retail and commercial arenas.
Marcelle received an Interior Design Degree from Watkins College of Art, Design, and Film. She has accreditation through NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Designers Qualification) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Her work has won numerous awards from the American Society of Interior Designers and the International Interior Design Association.
