"I primarily work in ceramics thrown on the wheel, creating three-dimensional forms which I then decorate with the flora, fauna and wildlife of the magical Cornish natural landscape."
I first learnt to throw on the pottery wheel in Japan in 1996. I was awarded a scholarship to travel and study Japanese ceramics as part of my Ba Hons Degree at Falmouth College of Art. I have been inspired by Japanese ceramics ever since and I particularly follow the philosophy that beautiful handmade ceramics are an important part of everyday life.
I work in my garden studio in Cornwall, exploring and developing my ceramic forms and continue my passion to express the magic of the natural world.
