I am an abstract expressionist painter. Of course I want to create beautiful paintings which enrich people’s lives. But it’s much deeper than that. It’s just the same as when people ask me what I paint. I paint what I see around me, and memories. Sometimes there are sea, landscape or botanical references, sometimes the works are purely abstract. But again, it’s much deeper than that. My physical inspirations are only points of reference. My paintings are creations, capturing feelings and emotions as much as those physical reference points. And so it’s up to the audience to take my paintings, and find the reference points, feelings and emotions that the work brings out for them. That’s their true beauty.
