"Desert Impressions and Representational Abstracts"
Leaving my small art shop and teaching, I ventured into the media management world where after a multi-decade career, I hung up my suits and banished high heels to return to my passions: painting and Arizona. I am once again a full-time artist. Because I love contemporary work and Arizona’s diverse landscapes much of my work combines the two. My abstracts are inspired by our surroundings and are generally based on life’s activities or natures' beauty. Whether it is man-made or nature, the challenge is to meld the natural with man’s creations. It is my intention that each painting is uplifting. The resultant artworks transform into emotion, evoking a mood beyond the scene itself. I paint beyond what is real by reaching for a deeper connection.
