Linda Ganjian

Queens, NY

Linda Ganjian is a NY-based artist who translates traditional crafts into non-traditional media, such as designing lace-like panels out of metal or sculpting a tapestry-like relief of fruits and vegetables for a middle school cafeteria. She has completed two public art projects, one for the NYC School Construction Authority and one for the NYC MTA. She also creates sculptures and drawings for the fine art market, and maintains a studio in Long Island City, Queens. She is known for her table-top sculptures, which consist of hundreds of miniature forms arranged into landscapes, inspired by Middle Eastern carpets.
