Laura Hull is a fine art and commercial photographer living and working in Los Angeles, California. Since 1996 she has held the title of Regional Editor for Meredith Corporation, contributing art direction and set styling to over 15 magazines including Better Homes and Gardens and Traditional Home. Hull was Editor-in-Chief of LA Architect magazine, and for 13 years she was the Los Angeles City Editor for Metropolitan Home magazine. She has lectured and served on advisory boards and panels, received two Artists-in-the Schools Grants and taught photography at Otis School of Art and Design. Her photography has appeared in Metropolitan Home Magazine, California Home, Luxe LA, Angeleno and The New York Times.
Hull’s extensive background in magazine work provides her with a unique collaborative skill for working with architects, interior designers and product designers photographing their work for portfolios, books and other publications. For design professionals and art consultants Hull has created distinctive fine art commissions for private homes, corporations and hotels.
Hull’s fine art photography has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the country. She holds an MFA from Claremont Graduate University and shows locally at the Craig Krull Gallery. A book of her photographs will be published in 2011.
