"Exciting the mundane with ceramics curated to your aesthetic and space."
Krista found clay in her senior year of High School at Fargo North High in North Dakota under the instruction of Brad Bachmeier. She then graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2011 with a BFA in Sculpture. Following, she immersed herself in 2D arts including printmaking (mokuhanga) and various figure drawing groups in the greater Seattle area. In 2017, she discovered the Continuing Education program at North Seattle College and enrolled in the Mudslingers class with Gary Georger. After two years, she decided to take the leap and start her own studio in 2018. Currently she is assisting Deborah Swartzkopf in her creative space and continuing creating with clay at Ray City Studios in White Center.
