"Contemporary yet warm, Kanna Woodcraft explores the relationship between traditional technique and modern aesthetic."
Tyler Meeks is the founder of Kanna Woodcraft. Originally from the midwestern U.S., he migrated west and became enveloped by its landscape and multiculturalism. While studying architecture at U.C., Berkeley, he became enamored with modes of craft and their relationships to cultural and regional dynamics. An interest in Japanese craft and design led to an interest in traditional Japanese woodworking, and shortly thereafter Kanna Woodcraft was born.
