"I am creating unique rivertables using special types of wood in combination with colored epoxy an rare table legs/frames."
A love of nature and a drive for perfection is something I continually endeavor to express through my work and is reflected in the utmost attention to detail that I dedicate to my unique, handmade pieces.
Inspiration for my pieces derives from the natural wonders of the Eifel and Ardennes, characterized by their rivers, lakes, and prodigious forests. For environmental reasons, I use certified wood as often as possible, and hold strong beliefs in working in an environmentally conscious, ecological manner.
Since early childhood, I have had the urge to express myself artistically, which my Father encouraged by teaching me basic woodworking skills and techniques. This allowed me, early on, to develop a feel for this natural material and its “malleable” qualities.
In preparation for a career that complemented my creative aspirations and imagination, I attended the technical college for design in Aachen, where my desire to make art “tangible” was strengthened and reaffirmed.
Due to my early experience crafting and working with wood, I opted for an apprenticeship as a carpenter, for which I received my journeyman’s certificate in 2012. I have since enjoyed many years of experience and had great success in realizing numerous projects that have encouraged me to focus on the artistic aspects of carpentry.
If I have piqued your interest, please do not hesitate to contact me for further details. I would be delighted to hear from you.
Also, it is possible to create your individually Rivertable with the color and type of wood of your choice.
