Joel Voisard is a Queens-based, 3-D artist. In Ohio State University, he earned a BFA in sculpture from and completed graduate work at Savannah College of Art and Design. He moved to NYC in 2002 and has considered it home since then. Joel’s work has been exhibited and sold at The Future Perfect (solo exhibit), Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, Subdivision Art, Henri Bendel, TenOverSix and American Design Club. His work across these fields demonstrates his interest in how objects interact with light, cast shadows, and create reflections. Many of the materials used in Voisard’s pieces are industrial or repurposed vintage objects, such as old stereo parts, furniture frames, and antique upholstery.
