"Inflated Steel sculpture"
Over the past 18 years, Jeremy Thomas’s sculpture has primarily used a process of inflating steel forms. He has come to understand that his work is about air, an ephemeral medium we rely on for our very existence. His usage of color pertains to how we use color within context: socially, culturally, and industrially. Thomas' list of solo exhibitions includes places like Los Angeles, Phoenix, Santa Fe, New York, Paris, and Munich. His work is included in private and corporate collections in the United States, and in Europe. His work is included in museums and collections, such as the Albright Knox Gallery, and the Fredrick R. Weisman Foundation. Currently, Thomas is represented by galleries in both the United States and Europe. He has lived and worked in Northern New Mexico for the past 23 years with his wife and their son, growing sculpture in the studio, and growing food in their organic orchard and garden.
