"Since 1983, Jamie Stern has been a leading producer of furniture, carpet, and leather for the hospitality, residential, commercial, retail, and education markets. The company specializes in custom work for leading architecture and design firms in and around the United States.
With more than 30 years of experience in the design industry including working with Boris Kroll Fabrics and representing fabric companies as an independent sales rep with such clients as Edelman Leather, Jamie Stern started his own company, tex-style. In 1990, Stern founded tex-style/Jamie Stern as a business offering furniture, carpet, and leather. “Ultimately, I saw the way furniture and textile companies were being run, and I felt there was a missing ingredient,” says Stern. “I sought to create a more user-friendly company with a deep understanding of architect and designer needs.” This philosophy centered on a closer working relationship between sales and manufacturing. By controlling the manufacturing, the sales organization would be able to extend the standard catalog to include custom furniture, rugs, and leather to the design community.
Today, Jamie Stern prides itself on providing a wide range of products for the A&D community including high-end, custom designs. The company has collaborated with a plethora of designers on collections including Kay Lang, Angel Ortiz, Vicente Wolf, Philippe David, and Brian Graham."
