James has never been to any art school, an opportunity which he could not afford. Nevertheless he has exhibited at the *National Art Gallery* in Zimbabwe 2014 under the Prominent Personality sector. In 2015 he went on to exhibit at the Dominic Benhura studios, best Zimbabwe Art Gallery.
James has made portraits fore-known Zimbabwean celebrities the likes of the late Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and well known Big Brother Show contestant Pokelo Nare. In 2016 James was invited to display his work at FORTHARE UNIVERSITY University in South Africa James relocated to Cape town, South Africa from Zimbabwe to explore new opportunities in the field of art.
Recently James participated in the prestigious national *Sanlam portrait award* in Durbanvile, where he came out 170 out of 1970 artist and above all he has his work at *KRUGER NATIONAL PARKS *national parks and the great Silo hotel *ROYAL MALEWANE*
