Rachel Barnes a.k.a Human Shaped Animal currently resides in Santa Cruz, California. With a B.A in Painting and Digital Design she is inspired by geometric shapes and the naturalistic world, specifically, the contrast and balance of the two. Her work finds harmony in futuristic, yet, primitive atmospheres. Intrigued by intuitive process she explores the grounding in strong shapes and lining, as well as the effortless flow of imagery. Recently, she has completed a series of “Art Planters” by integrating nature and functional art.
