"Uplifting the world with positive energy and beauty through sculpture and painting."
Cinthia Joyce is a Sculptor Member of the California Art Club. She was raised in Malibu and lives in Manhattan Beach, CA. She graduated with a major in art from UCLA.
She went on the study Interior Design as well, and she also is a painter. She teaches sculpting in her studio.
Her work reveals of the beauty of the human body and spirit, and a fascinating connection to the animal kingdom. She frequently finds animal symbolism appearing to her through her rich and vibrant dream life.
Classical figurative subjects are a perfect forum for her passionate interest in human anatomy. The fluid, dynamic forms of her bronze sculptural work elegantly capture precise moments in time. Her 7 1/2' high "Atlas Uplifting the Cosmos" was featured in the 2012 CAC Gold Medal exhibition at the Autry Museum. Animals are an equally fascinating subject matter for her, and she feels a close connection to them.
Her commissioned sculptures include Pacific Gray Whale in front of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. She has won numerous awards in national juried exhibitions such as the Academic Artists Association, 51st National Exhibition of Contemporary Realism, Hilton Head Art League National Juried Show, Art of the New West, Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit, and several at Palos Verdes Art Center Exhibitions. She has done many commissions for the Torrance Performing Arts Consortium.
