How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?
"We take each client on a unique “color journey” to make their vision a reality. Once a client selects the wood floor size, species, and grade, we then go step by step through a custom color sampling process. After a made to order color is selected, the planks are hand finished and prepared for final delivery. We often pre-finish an entire bundle of flooring for final color sign-off. Clients are also invited to visit our finishing lab during the process if further customization, or hand grading is desired."

What do you want people to do or feel when they encounter your creations?
"We are committed to creating one-of-a-kind heirloom quality White Oak wide planks that will last for generations to come. Over the years, we have refined our process to improve on quality, durability, and of course, safety and sustainability. We now provide a greener wood flooring product that includes everything you would expect from a solid plank floor, and yet also has been engineered to outperform any solid floor on the market in terms of dimensional stability, length structure, life expectancy, and responsible use of resources."

What is your favorite material to work with?
"Its hard to pick. As much as we love to work with our flag ship product Castle Grande Raw, which comes in 50% 10' long length and 8 inches wide hardwood planks, we certainly get very excited to work on projects which are all about making a bold statement using our parquet panels i.e. chevrons, Versailles, herringbone and mosaic (zero waste finger strip parquet). These patterned floors give a unique look and feel to a living space and its always so rewarding to see the final product in any given space. For instance: Vibrant! is 12-story affordable housing building featuring 93 units, community rooms, a small rooftop deck, and a second-floor outdoor play area. Build by Bremik Constructions, the project was sustainably designed to meet the Earth Advantage Gold standards. Bremik successfully exceeded the 20% MWESB utilization goal with 22.2% participation. The builder chose Castle Bespoke zero-waste uni-directional parquet product Mosaic from our Uptown Collection for the walls of the building lobby to complement their sustainability ambitions for this project."
