My name is Nicholas Cramer
I started Big Tooth Co. in Indiana, December 2015. It was inspired by the realization that my passion to create and build was almost entirely missing in my adult life. In the beginning everything was made in the evenings and on weekends, but as I grew more and more unfulfilled by my career path I finally left the corporate 9-5 job scene to dive head first into self-employment as a woodworker and maker. I only wish I would have done it sooner! In just a few years time I now ship my custom furniture and woodworking designs all over the country, and even personally deliver in the Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, IN areas.
In January 2020, I acquired and renovated my very own 3,000 sq/ft studio space to design, build my work, and meet clients (by appointment). It is always a pleasure meeting clients face-to-face!
More than just woodworking
At the core of my custom woodworking and furniture designs is the desire to create something useful that endures the test of time, all while honoring the material. The design process and execution of that design (which often go hand-in-hand) is the reason I do what I do - obsessing over aesthetic and quality is what really lights me up! Every piece is built with the highest quality materials, traditional woodworking techniques, and solid joinery that I guarantee will last generations. Do it right and do it well the first time…I would not have it any other way. I'm always experimenting, learning, and exploring new styles - so if you do not see what you are looking for in my portfolio, I'd love to create whatever it is you're envisioning.
