Artist Statement and Bio
My art form is painting. I see myself heavily influenced by color, that is my most powerful vehicle. I am an abstract expressionist painter. Painting is where I find my true balance. I am also a content painter with the story in play long before the artwork is executed.
In 2000, I completed a master of fine arts degree. I retired from the Boise School District as an art educator in 2006. I appreciate returning to my studio full time in my new work-live space.
I have actively pursued public art opportunities in Boise. I was a participant in the first Boise Art Academy. I was awarded the Boise Airport Ticketing Mural Project. Along The River’s Edge was dedicated October 4, 2013. I was also selected for the Traffic Box public art project in 2013. My traffic box is located at 13th and Main in downtown Boise.
I am currently showing in Capitol Contemporary Gallery 451 N Capitol Blvd Boise, ID, Dragonfire Gallery in Cannon Beach Oregon and Petersons Gallery in Baker City Oregon.
