Starting in a sign shop in 1989 Anne has learned how to make and create signs in every way imaginable with computer technology, however, her passion lies in the time-honored traditions of handcrafted signage. She has dedicated her spare time to traveling the world, attending workshops and training alongside some remarkable tradespeople. A few local signwriters also answered every question and let her practice on their walls on weekends. She is proud to now hold dual trade certificates in Screen Printing and SignWriting.
Anne is also proud to now be able to share her skills with others in her training workshops and also through youth mentored mural projects. Her work can be seen both at home and around the world with several large mural projects in Illinois and gilded signs on Mickey Avenue at Shanghai Disney. If you’re in Christchurch, check out the 250 square meters of murals at Kahikatea common that was completed in 2018.
When she’s not airbrushing, painting murals or gilding she can be found playing competitive croquet. “It’s like playing snooker on grass,” she says.
