Anelisa Calmet’s paintings are spontaneous and intuitive. She expresses emotions using vibrant colors, luscious textures, and layering, allowing for a feeling of unpredictability. She enjoys the process of seeing her work transform and evolve.
Most of her work consists of fluid acrylic and acrylics on canvas. Inspired by the ocean
and her cultural South American background; she utilizes bold colors, splashes
and movement symbolizing warm weather, sunny days, and happy people.

She was featured in Serendipity Magazine’s May/June 2018 issue. Anelisa was born in Lima, Peru and has also lived in Caracas, Sao Paulo, NYC, Miami and Rye, NY.
