What is your favorite material to work with?

"Reclaimed wood, back at the time I would go with my bike and bring back small pieces of wood that had already had a life, had some defects."

"I want to show, to expose the beauty in things that people would not have seen."

"To make a more noble use of wood that would have been normally burned down. Stock it until they will find new adoptive parents."

"Your eyes, your imagination, what you want to see through and what you want it to say with a combination of materials, colors, forms.."

What’s unique about your work?

"I always saw beauty in the abnormality of nature. My idea of design is more to the core, I want to go back to the source so I like to use real materials, materials with character and I like to keep it modern, clean and simple."

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"I've been making the furniture myself so I'm always drawing but also knowing what I'm going to find in my stock so what I'm going to be able to use. Somehow my drawings are always in relation with the actual pieces I will have to use."

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?

"Back in the 90's with my van full of well-known paintings I was restoring parked in the Bronx while I was looking for wood."
