Amy’s most recent work––in undulating watercolour and ink on paper––primarily explores the female form and the phases of the moon and its effects on her. Using the warm tones of ochre, rust, and flesh, she embraces the unexpected changes wrought by wet ink on paper. Finely attuned to the cyclical elements of nature, the passage of time and her fluid feminine identity, Amy employs painting as a form of meditation and poetry. Her practice serves as an ongoing, ever-evolving exploration of self.
