Achraf Touloub was born in 1986 in Casablanca, Morocco. He graduated at École des Beaux-Arts, Paris in 2013 and currently lives and works in Paris. His drawings, sculptures, and videos derive from his intuition that the conventional binary opposition between tradition and the modern mind is, in fact, a movement of convergence. His relationship to this idea creates the link between spaces and times that may, at first glance, seem far-removed, even contradictory, and it is this paradox that he constructs his images. His works seek to be the sum of different dimensions that compose the image, in a continually transforming context. Achraf Touloub has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Centre Pompidou and at the Albert Baronian, Rue de la Concorde.
