"Art is a window to the soul and shines a light on authentic human experience. This is the very basis of Abstract Expressionism. It is raw and real and touches emotions within the artist and the viewer that transcends conversation."
I moved from California to Colorado with my husband in 1997. We love Boulder and feel so happy and lucky to live here. I spend my creative work days in a studio adjacent to our home. The incredible colors, light and texture of the landscape here inspire and influence my work.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Printmaking from Dominican University in San Rafael, California. I went on to work as a Digital Painter on motion pictures and commercials at Industrial Light +Magic, the special effects division of LucasFilm.
Since moving here, I’ve devoted myself to my art, painting both abstracts and representational works. For the last several years, I have focused solely on my first love, abstract expressionism. My creative voice continues to grow using acrylic paint, collage, ink, crayon and whatever else I can get my hands on.
My studio partner is a sassy, beautiful Dutch Shepherd named, Maisie. She keeps a steady eye on the studio and always adds entertainment and laughter to my days!
Other things about me: I love...(other than dogs), hiking in the mountains, pistachio ice cream, indie movies, anything Italian, art museums/galleries, a good glass of chardonnay and cool autumn days.
